Our pastors

Nick and Amy have grown up and spent most of their lives in Palmerston North. They are passionate about seeing all God has for the Manawatu, Aotearoa and beyond. They have been involved in church leadership in various roles over the years and they have four awesome children.

Values

We have three values that give us our flavour and help shape the way we do things at Korimako.

01. Whakamoemiti

Whakamoemiti (praise and thanksgiving). We believe our highest calling is to be worshippers. We want all we do to come out of Whakamoemiti, loving and glorifying Jesus.

02. Whanaungatanga

Whanaungatanga is all about relationships and belonging. Sharing experiences and encouraging one another in all of life. Being whanau. We see whanaungatanga as a vital part of life and as a way through which we out work our faith as followers of Jesus.

03. Tikanga Rua

We are committed to the journey of doing church biculturally. Expressing ourselves as two people, Tangata Whenua and Tangata Tiriti, woven together in the unity of Wairua Tapu.

Why Korimako?

The Korimako is the native bellbird of Aotearoa and is famous for its beautiful song. For us it symbolises whakamoemiti; heartfelt worship, praise and thanksgiving. God has created us to be worshippers and He is looking for wholehearted worshippers (John 4:23).

What we believe

We believe in the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and we affirm the core beliefs of the Christian Faith as summarised in the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed. We are also a Vineyard Church with certain distinctions, you can download our statement of faith here.
